If you are looking for a natural way to support your digestion, boost immunity, and start your day with a little fire, then let me introduce you to lemon ginger shots. They are small but mighty — packed with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, and immune-supporting nutrients. This simple blend of fresh lemon juice, spicy ginger, and apple cider vinegar delivers a powerful punch that can wake up your system, aid digestion, and even help strengthen your immune system. Whether you're new to wellness shots or already a fan, here's why this zesty combo deserves a spot in your daily routine.
Benefits of Lemon Ginger Shots
Aids in Digestion
Ginger stimulates digestive enzymes which helps reduce bloating, and can ease constipation and nausea. Lemon encourages bile production which supports overall nutrient absorption and can help reduce symptoms like bloating, gas, and sluggish digestion. Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid, which may promote healthy digestion and help balance gut bacteria. Together they all help your gut run smoother.
Strengthens the Immune Function & Reduces Inflammation
Lemons are rich in vitamin C and ginger contains smaller amounts. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps protect your cells from damage, supports immune health, and plays a key role in collagen production for healthy skin and tissues.
Ginger contains powerful compounds like gingerol and shogaol, which give it natural antiviral and antibacterial properties — helping the body fight off infections and support overall immune resilience.
Apple cider vinegar adds another layer of antibacterial properties, reinforcing the immune-boosting effects of lemon and ginger.
Natural Energy Boost
The combination of lemon and ginger helps kickstart your metabolism and provides a clean, caffeine-free energy lift.
Apple cider vinegar can help with blood sugar control and improve insulin sensitivity. This supports stable energy levels after meals.
Now that you know the benefits, here’s a quick and easy recipe to make your own lemon ginger wellness shot at home. If the lemon ginger shot feels too strong or causes stomach discomfort, it’s perfectly okay to adjust the recipe. Try adding more water to dilute the intensity and make it easier on your digestive system while still reaping the benefits.
Lemon Ginger Shot Recipe

1. Take both of the lemons and cut them in half. Then take the ginger and cut it into smaller pieces.
2. Press the juice from the lemons halves into a bowl
3. Add the lemon juice, 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, a cup of water, and the ginger pieces to a blender. (I use my Nutribullet to blend, but you can use a food processor, or regular blender. The goal is to make sure that everything is well blended.)
4. Once blended, strain the liquid for any of the remaining pulp.
5. Ladle them into glass containers (I use these from Amazon)
This recipe makes 6 servings and can stay in the refrigerator for 3-5 days, so I drink one the day I make them and store the remaining five. The ingredients can settle, so gently shake the jars before drinking.
You can check out my video on instagram on how to make them.
