If you have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's and ever wondered why you feel increasingly fatigued, have joint pain or digestive issues, you may be experiencing a Hashimoto's Flare. Since this is not something that doctor's readily discuss with patients, my goal is help you understand what a flare is, the triggers that could cause a flare and how to manage your symptoms.

Over the last decade that I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's, I have had quite a few flares. Before I started to study my thyroid disease, I did not fully understand why I was experiencing these symptoms. I kept pushing through even when the symptoms were at their worst. It was only after I did my research that I began to connect the symptoms with a specific event or time in my life. Most of my flares were stress related, but others were food sensitivities, lack of sleep, and infections.

In this episode, I am sharing the symptoms that someone going through a Hashimoto's flare might experience, the triggers that could cause a flare, and how you can manage those symptoms when you are in a flare.
